I live in Colorado, a very dry state. During the winter my skin often cracks and my nose bleeds because it is so dry. I have tried one and two gallon humidifiers from my local discount store but they were not up to the task. With this Honeywell I am putting around 25 gallons a day into my home and am keeping my humidity between 30% and 40%. Within three days my nose had stopped bleeding and my skin feels like a babies. I both sleep and feel better. This machine is more quiet than the small ones I have been using. It shuts itself off when it runs out of water or reaches the humidity setting. It looks good and is easy to fill. I do have to fill it three or four times a day but it is worth it and I do run it 24X7. My house is two stories and is 2500 sq feet so I probably should have two of these but one has been handling the entire house.

I bought one of these last year, it worked well. This year our second humidifier died, so I bought a second one of these to replace it.
However, this second one has an issue, which results in the water basins over flowing, filling the outside rims (not designed to hold water) and then dumping onto the floor.
The first time it happened I thought I had not correctly placed the tanks, but it happened a second time today, so that baby is being returned ASAP.
It takes more than two days for the flooding to occur, so watch this for the first few weeks to avoid damaging your floors.

Amazon replaced the defective unit so fast it arrived the same day they picked up the return.
There was a part missing from the defective unit. My first and now my replacment unit both work like champs. I'm able to fill just twice a day, for a 2000 sq.ft. condo with lots of windows.

This unit works great to help humidify a 20x60 foot electronic assembly room.
Very good results with normal tap water with no residue. It can be set for high, med or low fan output and will automatically turn off when empty. This does better than two smaller "cool steam" type humidifiers. Filling the containers is simple and not a problem for us.
